We are excited at our very own Nichole Riley will be receiving her Professional Bather/Brusher Certification at the Groom Expo West on February 4th.
As a Certified bather/brusher (CBB) Nichole will be using her skills at K9 Resort and Spa; getting the dog ready for the tub, finding the right shampoo through proper bathing and blow-drying techniques and making sure that all safety standards are followed.  At K9 Resort and Spa we believe that a good bath, brush and dry is 50% of a great groom and having Nichole as part of our team will make that that possible!
Nichole came to K9 Resort and Spa with a heart for working with animals and she demonistrates that love everyday in the care and love she shows to each dog she touches. Nichole has been quoted as saying, "When a clients dog comes under my care, it's an opportunity, for me, to help him/she feel and look like new! You can learn more about Nichole and other staff members by visiting our "Staff"page or by clicking here

Puppy Tips:
Use Discipline, Not Cruelty.
There is nothing a puppy can do wrong that deserves cruelty. Always remember that he just wants to please you and is trying his best. If you consistently stop the puppy in the middle of the act of wrong-doing and sternly say “NO,” the point should be made. Or you can try the ignoring theory. To a puppy, even negative attention is attention, so by simply ignoring the puppy, you are showing him that he is behaving unacceptably and won’t get attention from you.

Joining one of our Star Puppy classes is a great step in getting your puppy off on the right paw.  Click here for more information on the class schedule.
